David Bromberg Quintet – all over the place!

David Bromberg is an extraordinary musician/instrumentalist, singer and songwriter who plays bluegrass, blues, folk, jazz, country and western, and rock and roll.  His eclectic blend of music is hard to describe, he said.  “It’s fun.  It’s roots, or Americana, for some people, but nothing really describes it,” he said. “You just have to hear it.”

He’s right – try to pigeon-hole this performer into one type of music genre and I’ll bet you won’t be able to describe a term!

HUGE Bromberg fan here – going back more decades than is ladylike to admit. Your multiple posts made my night, and your enthusiasm came through loud and clear. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

    • Very happy to oblige, and am glad to know that others still love him as I do! Am watching his tour dates because a road trip may be in order. Take care! (Still working on video of “New Lee Highway Blues”; hopeful to have posted soon).
