Outdoor Livingroom

Just across the street from where my car was being repaired was one of the many entrances to Greensboro’s Downtown Greenway.  I had time to kill, so took a hike along a short section of the route from Lee St. to Spring Garden St., then strolled around downtown for awhile.

I have to say the City has done a great job of planning, creating and connecting this 4-mile walking and biking trail which will eventually (it’s not completed just yet) loop around downtown Greensboro.  Many areas of the Greenway have restored and replaced some life to formerly rundown urban landscapes with a green space that will promote fitness and encourage alternative transportation for residents and visitors in a more aesthetically pleasing environment.

Looks comfy, yes? It is, but it’s actually concrete and metal!

Someone decided to add artwork to one of the beams; works for me!
