Vermont Lighthouse

The Burlington Breakwater North Lighthouse and break wall serve as the main entrance to Burlington’s harbor.  Due to all the rainfall this spring and into the summer, Lake Champlain’s water level just about covered the wall (these photos were shot late July; in past years, we typically see at least 2-3′ of rock).  According to a July 16 article in the Valley News, this is not typical in July.  Flood stage for the lake is 100′ and the level reached, 99.6′.
