Looking out on Lac (lake) Ouimet from the grounds at the Gray Rocks Inn near Mt. Tremblant ski area, just north of Montreal, Canada (sadly it was closed down after a 102-year run).
This foggy morning shot was taken using what was probably one of my very last rolls of 35mm B&W film in 2005. Having scanned some of the negatives earlier this summer, I’d return to this one to edit, then get frustrated and leave it, and on and on. This past dreary Sunday was a good day to work it once more. It’s grainy and the vignetting is clearly noticeable, but the more I look at it, the more I like it.
