Lake Champlain Ferry Ride

Spent some time with family in Upstate NY again.  The hour-long ferry ride between Burlington, VT and Port Kent, NY is always enjoyable. These rides do wonders for me -gear up for the start of a vacation, wind down after one, clear the cobwebs, silent meditation and/or taking photos!

Watching and waiting to board the “Champlain” as it heads for the dock at Port Kent.  Sadly, we were heading back home.  Vermont’s Camel’s Hump peak is in the background; it’s the 3rd largest mountain in the state.

Approaching Burlington, VT, which is a fabulous college town!  The ferry dock, marina and waterfront park are just several of the many places to enjoy – these one-man sailboats look like miniature remote-controlled toys, don’t they?
