Red-shinned hawk family

Learn something new every day – The male hawk is a tercel, the female is called a haggard (not fair!).  Babies are known as eyas, and groups of hawks are known as a cast or kettle.  Anyway, we believe these 2 to be parent/youngster, and we’re lucky to have them join us in the back yard now and then.  Handsome, aren’t they?
